What is laser engraving?
Laser engraving is a method used to change the surface of an object. Texts are one example, but images are certainly also possible.
The laser beam will produce high heat, causing the material to evaporate. Due to the very powerful light beam, the laser can engrave on the surface of wood or metal. The more times the laser beam passes over the material, the deeper the engravings become. Our laser machines are controlled by a computer and work extremely accurately.
Advantages of laser engraving
One advantage of laser engraving is that almost any design can be engraved. Many materials can be processed with the laser, which also means that there are many possible applications. The laser has high engraving speeds, making it cost-effective, and it has a favourable price-to-quality ratio. Because there is no physical contact between the machine and the material, no damage can occur. This is also called 'non-contact engraving’.
